The Skyn Gym is a skin care clinic based in Windsor, Old Amersham and Askham, the Lake District managed by Dr Jo McInerney. Nurse Lucy and Dr Ellie work alongside Dr Jo, delivering skin consultations and treatments to improve all your skin concerns, whatever they may be. In our clinic, we treat men and women of all ages with the following:

By becoming a member of The Skyn Gym, our medical professionals can guide you through this journey, creating a bespoke treatment plan supplemented with a medical skin care routine you can follow at home. All treatments can be combined with aesthetic treatments at our sister clinic, Cosmetic Skin Care.
Meet The Team
Dr Jo McInerney
Dr McInerney has been a GP for over 25 years and has practised in Windsor, Australia and Spain. She is registered with the General Medical Council and is a fully insured practitioner. She was revalidated in December 2024 with ongoing revalidation every 5 years and annual appraisals. Dr McInerney decided to branch out into the world of cosmetics several years ago and completed her training with Professor Bob Khanna. Her interests involve keeping fit and travelling. She is a keen tennis player and golfer, and has three children.
Nurse Lucy Cooper
Nurse Lucy qualified as a nurse (RCN) in 2015, working in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where she continues to do clinical shifts. Nurse Lucy left her full-time role in the NHS in 2019 to pursue a career in aesthetics and has thoroughly enjoyed developing her skills as an aesthetician within our clinics, showing a particular interest in treating skin conditions. Her personal interests involve travelling and spending time with friends and family.
Dr Ellie O’Shaughnessy
Dr Ellie graduated from Newcastle University Medical School in 2021. She has worked in the North East as a Doctor and Teaching Fellow and spent the past year practising and travelling in Australia. Ellie has always had a strong passion for skin health and is excited to further her career in aesthetic medicine. She is fully registered with the General Medical Council with a licence to practice. Outside of work, Ellie enjoys dance, good food and loves spending time with her friends and family.
